  1. Someone took the little black antenna from my roof near the back window. This is an 04 LS 430. What is it for? Everything seems to work but I do not have SAT radio, if that is it. Any ideas on a decently priced replacement?

    Thanks!

  2. Please follow the directions at http://www.toyotanation.com/forum/t173730.html and it will work. You must be able to burn DL DVD's tho.

    Hi,

In response to the individual who says he has heard of an override for the 6.1 version involving cutting wires or a hybrid DVD... can you point us toward that info? In high school I used to install car stereos so I am pretty comfortable taking apart dashboards, instrument panels, etc.

I will post back here with info if I get anywhere... Thanks!

  3. OK, I am upset enough about this to the point where I am ready to cut the wires. Which/where is the thread explaining in a 430 which wires to cut and where to get to them? What I want to do is to make the car look like it is not moving, as far as the disabling software is concerned.

  4. We've reached 30k miles on our 2004 Sport LS430 and need new tires. We need the softest tires we can find because we find the Sport ride too harsh for our taste. We have Dunlops on now. Our service writer told us that he thought the Dunlops were the softest, Bridgestones middle, and Michelin the hardest. Is this correct?

Can anyone recommend a good but soft tire for the Sport LS430 with P225\55R17 size.

We've seen the Bridgestone Turaza LSV and it looks pretty good but need help and recommendations.

    Thanks for any comments.

I have the same car. I HATED the ride with Dunlops. Called Tire Rack. Spent an hour on the phone with him and he concluded that the Turanza and Mich. Energy are great tires, but NOT as soft as the Yokohamas. Soft was my main concern as I came from an LS 400 with 16's on it. I finally bought them for 590. incl. ext. warranty no prorate, lifetime balance, etc. and they are VERY smooth. Did not tell my wife and she rode in it and asked me what happened to the car, it was so smooth. They are equally as quiet. I heartily recommend them. I have owned these before and always found them round too. 60k guarantee also.
