Do you depress the brake when you start up the car? If so, it might be your brakes. I've had the same problem in cold weather. The dealership tells me it's normal to have a clunking sound when braking hard. I don't know if I buy that, but, they've told me that three times, now. So, when I brake hard, I hear a clunking sound (from the inside of the car). Don't know if it's the same as your problem.

Question for all who have installed the Vaistech: Any problems with receiving AM signals after Vais installation? I just noticed yesterday that my AM signal is static-y, and I'm wondering if it has anything to do with my ipod integration. Any info is helpful.

I also have the Vais and I love it. There are a couple of little quirks to get used to, but I don't really mind them. My dealer also warned me about voiding the warranty, but I think it's just a scare tactic. My dealership now offers the aftermarket install. I don't know what they install, though.

Has anyone had any problems with the newest ipod/nano and the Vaistech soundlinq? I heard a rumor about problems with the gen5 ipod and gen2 nano interfacing with the soundlinq. Any truth to this?

Had to resurrect the thread to share my happiness with the VaisTech. I love it, it's totally integrated and I can enjoy my Levenson system and my ipod at the same time. I have not had any problems with the display on my LCD screen (even after a phone call on the bluetooth). Just make sure that it is installed as CD1, because in any other mode, the playlist name and song name won't show up on the LCD display. And, it also has the extra of pushing the buttons on the "I agree" screen (which is pretty cool). And, if anyone is looking for an installer in the Chicagoland area, I've got a great one.

I've had my 400h for about six months, just got the first oil change and a total of about 5500 miles. I just noticed a clunking noise that occurs when I put the car in drive from park after it has been sitting for a while. It only happens the first time I put the car in gear, no other times. Anyone else experienced this?

I'm looking to buy a 5-pc set of all-weather floor mats for my 400h. Anyone have any suggestions about where to go? I've been looking to buy online. Any help is appreciated.

I'm thinking about installing a hard-wired Ipod hookup for my RX400. Has anyone had one installed yet? I'm wondering how they actually go about doing this. Do they have to disable the CD changer? Any tips on where to go? Brands to go for? I'd really appreciate it.

When I bought my 400h, the salesman said that I would run the risk of voiding my warranty if I installed an aftermarket Ipod hook-up. He actually told me that my warranty could be voided, even if I had the dealership install it. Any truth to this?
