I just found a small screw in my 2000 ES300 one month old Yokohama. Took it to the dealer and the technician took out the nail and told me there isn't any leaking (he did the water test). Is it OK to drive?

I think it could be anything, but happens as we brake. Will do some looking to see if there is a lug nug rolling around.
UPDATE: did look and the back is clean, nothing loose.
Thanks
did you take the spare tire out. May be an extra lug nut down in the compartment? Are you sure it is braking related and not suspension?

Did you find anything since then? I think I am having exactly same problem with my 2000 ES300 (w/110,000 miles). Dealer could not find any problem. They checked my rear strut, shock. etc and they told me everything is fine. I still hear the sound however it became less frequent.

I have 2000 ES300 (w/110,000 miles). I started notice a sound comming from rear (and it sounds like "clunk"). It is intermittent however it became more frequent. I took the car to the dealer however they could not duplicate the sound and after thorough check up they could not find any problem. Dealer did re-torque the rear strut mounting. I still hear the sound (however it became less frequent). What do you think?

I hear very slight turning noise on my 3 week old ES330. Maybe it was there from the beginning however I noticed last night. It is not loud and probably during daytime with other noises I probably not nptice it. However quiet night driving it definitely is noticeable. Is this engine sound? Is it normal?

How many of you out there (w/ES330) has VSC option?

I just bought a 2006 ES 330. It is at the end of this model and there weren't too many cars left (however I got a great deal. Well, at least I think I got a great deal). The car came with Nav, 17" wheel, wood steering and shift knob, sunscreen, pref. package, etc. However one of the option that I wanted (which is VSC) was not there. My 2000 ES300 came with VSC as standard. How many of you bought the ES330 w/VSC option and whether it is a necessary option to have or not? I guess now we have EBD which we did not have when I purchased ES300.

The slight low speed hesitation is a characteristic of all 2002 on up ES300's/330's.
Thanks for your respose.

I just bought a new 2006 ES 330 (W/Nav, Sun Screen, Heat/vent seat, 17" tire, Pref, Accc. Package,). I love the car so far. I have a question though. Maybe I am too sensitive about this and the car is maybe too new (only 73 miles). When I drove at lower speed it has slight hesitation (not move quick enough). It is barely noticeable and if I give the gas to above 15+ miles then it moves just fine. I have 2000 ES300 and it is exactly opposite issue. This one quickly move as soon as you push the pedal. What do you think?
Intermittent "clunk" Sound From Rear

I have 2000 ES300 (w/113,000 miles). I am hearing this "CLUNK" sound from the rear. It is intermittent and it seems getting a bit more frequent if the car has been driven for a while. I took the car into the Lexus dealer and they could not find any problem (with shock, or anything that might cause this sound). And they could not duplicate the sound at the dealer. However I still getting this annoying sound. Anyone experienced similar simptom? Your advice will be helpful.
I forgot to add that it only happens when I brake. There's absolutely no sound when I am driving however when I brake and when the car is about to come to a complete stop then I hear this annoying "CLUNK" sound. As I mentioned before dealer checked out pre much every thing incluidng the brakes. In fact I just got new rear and front brake pad (and they resurfaced the roto). However this sound began way before the brake change.
