I tried the white lithium grease on my 92 sc400 driver door and it seemed to work for about 2 days. After a few more weeks of ripping the interior panel free of the door, I broke down and bought a new hinge from the dealer. $339. Put the hinge in my trunk until I could devote the time needed to install it. Before that day arrived, the old hinge made a tremendous pop as I opened the door. It has been smooth as butter ever since. So 4 months later the new hinge is on ebay, Lexus dealer wouldnt take it back, and me crossing my fingers that another pop doesnt undo the fix. ;-)

The lithium grease is definitely a good idea to try first.

I think i am in need of the driver's door hinges. Few weeks ago it stopped opening & the only why to open the door is to push it from the middel of the front to help it out of hitting the end of the front fender.

How much shipped to Toronto Canada? Green 1993 SC400. is it in working conditon?

As far as i know, it let the engine consume more gas. So yes, it will not save you money if you keep that button on.

Hey there guys!!! Just got a quick question. I have a 1993 sc400, and just wanted to know when you guys put that green button switch on (ec/power) do you burn more gas when it is on. Or does it matter when it’s off. My main concern is that will I save n gas while it’s off, because I know when it’s on I know the car has more power to it. But yeah, any feedback thanks!!

Any advice on what audio system to get...what will fit? will the dash still look ok if i installed another audio system?

get a real cd player, get a real amp, get real speakers. I would just go to a shop if you have no interest in car audio. The stock radio sucks anyways. or just do this like i did lol....

Finally i found an AMP for my 93 SC400, but it seems that only one speaker is working...any idea what could be the problem?

The sound system works fine but no sound coming out?

Are you certain it is the Nak amp? 5 channels, no amp on the deck lid next to the sub?

Your best bet maybe to just go aftermarket for the amp.

Your reply is really helpful, but I bought the car used with a Premium sound audio system, 12disk CD changer and Nakamichi Amp under it!

Seems that the Sound system works fine but no sound at all.

Any suggestions?

How can i tell which AMP I got on my 1993 SC400? It seems that there are 2 types!

No cd changer? no amp.
