  1. Going to make some assumptions on your performance issues so bear with me if you've already addressed them:

    1. Be sure you are not in Gear 4, but "D". I had borrow my GX and he drove it from Corpus to McAllen on "4"...and had the audacity to complain about mileage and gas consumption! Needless to say, he will use a rental next time. Shifting from 4 to D (Overdrive) is way too easy.

    2. Be sure your small shifter is on "H" and not "L" which gives more low end torque for the messy stuff.

My previous vehicle was a 99 ML 430 and was a snail compared the the GX. Good luck.

  2. Wow, sounds like a good deal, assuming the warranty is still covered which imagine it would at just 9k miles. Take a thorough test and look out for that "click" sound mentioned in prior post. I had that issue but Lexus resolved it. Otherwise, quite pleased with my GX, have had a Mercedes ML and there's no comparison...although I prefer the swing up rear door to the GX's side rear door swing. Sound ride, comfy during long trips.

  3. Ok folks, after many attempts from everyone's suggestions (none of which worked but sincerely appreciated), I have finally found the solution to the Home Link myth if you have a standard Craftsman 1/2 HP garage door opener. Feast your eyes on the simplicity of this procedure:

    1. Get a small ladder to reach your garage door opener

    2. Locate the square "learning button" behind opener

    3. I had my keys at "ACC" position, not sure it matters

    4. Press and release learning button

    5. Go inside car and press one of your designated Home Link buttons until you hear a click and light flash from your garage door opener, then release

    6. Garage door has now "learned" your Homelink system

    7. Be sure to press Home link button for about 2 seconds and "wa---laaa!" Open sezzzmeee!

  4. that person should be shot back with a paintball gun to the groin. People have no respect for the hard work that goes into purchasing high end items. Its sad.

  5. Hello Everyone,

I have a GX 470 and trying to program my Craftsman garage door to it. I had this same issue with my old Craftsman garage door opener and purchased the newer 315 Mghz opener with Home Link compatibility. Did the following verbatim per owner's manual, and to my dismay, it still won't work:

    - Pressed home link button and remote simultaneously

    - Remote 1-2 inches away from home link console

    - Pressed until slow flash to rapid flash (20 seconds)

    * not opening/closing

Tried the Rolling Code method too, no luck.

    Please, anyone help! Much apprecated!
