Hello all,
I have had my 2006 GS300 with nav and ML stereo for several months now, but it isn't until the end of August that I can upgrade my cell phone or even change carriers if needed to use the Bluetooth.
I currently have Verizon Wireless and am leaning toward the Razr. I am interested in what any of you have to say about any of the carriers and phones you are using in your Lexus by using the Bluetooth (good or bad).
thanks, boB
I use Cingular Blackberry 8700c. Works fine. Address book doesn't though. Blackberries with Bluetooth don't have a TRANSMIT button.

Am now owner of Silver 2006 400h! Bought it today. Man, can the 400h accelerate! Am looking forward to being a Lexus owner for a long, long time.

If you have a bluetooth phone, you'll save yourself some trouble by reading through the posts on this site. It's not a uderfriendly arrangement that Lexus chose, but it's NOT a huge negative, in my opinion.
Welcome to the club!

I have an '06 GS300 AWD and I have a couple minor issues that I hope someone can help me with.
#1 - The default value for MPG average on this car is set for a tank-by-tank average that automatically resets after each refueling. I would like to have an option of monitoring MPG average over a longer period of time than each refueling, but cannot find anything in the owner's manual that would allow me to alter this. The dealer had no helpful answer on this. Is this the only setting for monitoring MPG other than the "old-fashioned" manual method?
#2 - I experienced an intermittent problem with the keyless entry feature. For reasons unknown to me, and at random times, I will approach my GS300 with the keyless remote in my pocket and the doors will not open when I touch the back of the door handle. This will stay that way for a couple 2 or 3 days and then, just as inexplicably, I will approach the car and it works as advertised. The only possible connection is that it seems to occur when it gets colder (below freezing).
Has anyone else experienced this?
#3 - My driver side seatbelt locked up and had to be replaced by the dealer. They intimated that this has been a reported problem with the 2006 GS models. It was a quick fix, the dealer was awesome, but I still had to go there and alter my schedule to preserve my safety. I'm passing this along in case others have experienced similar issue.

I agree completely that the RX-400h is the finest SUV I've purchased to date. I replaced a 2004 Chrysler Pacifica with my 400h in the fall of 2005 and I couldn't be happier. The smooth ride, added power, and luxurious feel are unmatched. Add in the Lexus service experience and you can see why I ran out and purchased a GS300 AWD later in the Fall.
I have 7500 miles on my 400h and have NO intentions of parting with it in another 1500 miles...I hope to keep it for 6-8 years!

Never mind. I found what I was looking for in a string later in this forum.
Thank you anyway.
Duh.

I also own a 2006 GS300 AWD and that forum describes a method for bypassing the restriction on dialing phone numbers while driving by going in behind the NAV unit and clipping a wire or two (detailed specifics are in that forum). Those specifics also allow DVD viewing while driving, but that aspect is not important to me. I'm wondering if anyone has investigated this method for the RX-400h. I'm not the most technically capable person and am hoping someone else would blazethe trail...

Using the Lexus dealer is one of the MAJOR reasons for buying a Lexus in my opinion. It's always a marvelous experience at Len Stoler Lexus in Maryland (no, I don't work for them).
