The cheapest place to get one probably is www.coastaltool.com.
Your 01 may or may not have a clearcoat.
I picked up the Porter Cable special ($127.50) at Autopia...........man were they fast,
ordered it on Jan 12 and its was at my door TODAY!
Also baught both Klasse products(all-in-on and sealant). For the scratches I got Sonus SFX-1
Restore......with 4" pad to do the work.
Finally picked up all my microfiber towels/wash/tire dressing at WALMART!!
When it stops raining here we'll see what this country boy can do....... :P

I found if I keep the backing plate about 3/4" away from the pad, it has just enough give to polish curved area, BUT still has enough support as to not rip the edges of the pad.
Hope this helps
Just picked up my 2002 BLACK LS430 and I will be becoming my own DETAILER.
Where is the best deal on a PC? Is there a good package out there with all the right PC
accecceries? My car has scratches (moderate) and swirls to initially get out.......
I believe my Black paint has a clearcoat.

If you're going to keep the car a long time I'd definately skip the air suspension.
Thanks I know your correct about the LS400 series, I've owned 2 LS 400's (91&98) and have consistantly heard that about the LS400 series but the LS430 uses only 10% of its parts from the old LS400 and even the name 'Electronically Adaptive Suspension' sounds different from the LS400 Air suspension???

What options on the 2001 LS430 should I avoid? Is the Ultra Package a problem issue as this car gets
older? Should I stay with the standard suspension? What tire option? I'm not looking for handling as much
as luxury cruising.....
Anybody sees a 2001 LS430 deal out there let me know.
Thanks
Craig
Socal Alignment Shop Recommendation
in 90 - 00 Lexus LS400
Posted
Just put new MXV4's (at Costco...) on my 2002 LS430 and the tires taken off show signs that I definitely
need a good alignment.
What would be a good alignment shop to take my Lexus too.........I'm in Westminster.......
I try to avoid Dealerships.
Thanks
Craig
