  1. Why not do what every other Toyota/Lexus owner does and bypass the wiring behind it permentaly. This also allows you to input destination and use your phone while driving.

5 wires and about 40 minutes to simple driving away.

This solution doesn't automatically press the "I Agree" at the beginning. But if that's not important to someone, it would be a much cheaper and simpler solution.

Can you link us to what you tolking about Thank You.

    Sk,

IMHO, the reason why I won't follow your suggestion is because I do NOT want to CUT/STRIP/MODIFY (permanent) changes to OEM equipment, that *might* void my warranty. This solution from Coastal BYPASSES the whole warranty issue (possible) by using the existing HARNESS without a SINGLE cut to any wire. $50K+ for the GX, I personally am not going to quibble over $79.00 for this mod, er $99.00 now...

I do not care for the warranty! or lega problems!

  3. Overtaxing the electrical system?

    Reduced power consumption

XENON HID lamp systems draw significantly less power from your vehicles electrical system.

    More light output

A 35-Watt XENON HID lamp produces up to 3x the lumens at the light source when compared to a 55-Watt halogen bulb.

As for the install, it took 20 min. to mount the ballasts and plug in a few wires.

$400 in labor? I'll charge ya $50 for the 20 min.

Can you recomend the model of XENON HID, and where to buy it?

    Thank you

  6. How mach for the factory rear entertainment system single disc dvd player that allows you to watch movies on front screen?

    Thank you

I didn't order the rear seat entertainment system for my '04 GX470 because we don't have kids. I'm thinking about installing an iPod and DVD player that would display on the ML/Nav screen. Do all GX470's come prewired for DVD player in the center console? Or am I going to have to run video/audio/power cables to a 12V DVD player? Does anyone have a source for OEM dvd players?

    Thanks,

    dwight

OEM DVD/CD changers are available for your LEX They are expensive $1000.00. I have 1 of them. And they are very very rare.

Sorry the dvd changer is sold. But I do have the factory rear entertainment system single disc dvd player that allows you to watch movies on front screen.
