I need a transmission for my 93 ES300, could I fit a 94-98 transmission into my 93? If not, what model number would be the right one? I have seen 3VZFE and 1MZFE

Post a picture. It sounds like a freeze plug, though. Also, our radiators can get a bit clogged over time. That might be the slight overheating problem you have.
Here are some pics. The thing is right beneath the distributor cap. I ordered a freeze plug online but the thing is way to big. So I question if this is a freeze plug?

OK, 1993 ES300 140000 miles. In the past I have had overheating problems but learned to deal with it. I did all of the necessary maintenance changing the thermostat, water pump, caps etc... The car would still lose coolant, no major leak just drips from the inlet cap, it wouldn't over heat as long as I kept the radiator full of coolant. So, for the past year in a half and adding coolant every morning I drive to work with no problems. When I get out of work I check the radiator for coolant, the radiator is empty. I add coolant and add coolant and add coolant. When I look under the car all of the coolant I had put in was gushing right out. I tow the car home and I lift the front end, I get under the car to see where the leak is coming from. And for conformation purposes I placed the water hose in the inlet and turned it on. With the front end lifted, on the engines driver side under the intake manifold theres a hole, thru that hole water is gushing out like a freakin waterfall. Did I miss something? Is there a hose or cap that goes there? Need Help.

The car idles very smooth and drives great when theirs coolant it. Stomped!

The Psi on the manifold cap is 16psi and the same for the radiator. But the car doesn't overheat, it just gets lazy and heavy thats when I know the damn thing needs coolant. Every time I add more coolant I squeeze the top hose to get the bubbles out until theres no more bubbles. I noticed that I have to add more coolant to the manifold and not as much to the radiator, hmmmm?

Everything started after all of the service, and the caps, thermostat are aftermarket I picked up at autozone.

O.K did a search and couldn't find much on this problem. I have a 93 ES300 with 11400 miles. Replaced TB, Thermostat, alternator all the regular stuff. Flushed the radiator, flushed Trans. Now my problem is my car gets really lazy and heavy when accelerating. Started to notice a little stain around the upper cap. Let the car cool and the thing needed a gallon of water.(not That much but you get the picture) put coolant in the damn thing and it started to run fine, no it doesn't heat up, now every morning I have to fill it up with water.
Let it sit running after a drive and lifted the hood, notice fluid coming out of the cap (the one over the engine). Replaced it and ran it for a while, same thing still leaking. Anyone with some help please.

A few months ago I was having a problem with the O/D light flashing on and off. After getting the codes, Speed Sensor and Shift Solenoid, I repaced them. The car runs better but after I installed the new shift solenoids 1 and 2 the O/D started to flash again. I check the code and it keeps giving me the same codes 62 which is the no 1 shift solenoid, what gives? These parts are brand new. Help...

This may be a dumb question but I don't know so I have to ask, and I did a search and didn't find anything. Here it goes, I have a 93 ES300 does the high side refill when you refill the low side with Freon or do you have refill it separately?

The easiest thing to do is to drop the pan and get the valve body cleaned and reinstalled, then add an inline tranny filter to the cooler line and it should be fine after if there is not other major worn clutches.
Is it a DIY or is it something I have to take to a mechanic?

Hello everyone, this is a great site. This past week I had a problem with the O/D light flashing on and off, came on the site and did a search and found that I had a speedometer sensor problem according to the symptoms I was having with the 93 ES300. Changed the speed sensor and it's running better took on the freeway and it definatly runs better but when I slowed down to turn the O/D light started, flashing did the bridging of the E1 and Te1 I think it is and got the 62 error which says it's the No. 1 shift solenoid. Did a search and couldn't find much on this topic can anyone help me on this? How difficult or how easy is it to change? I know I have to drop the tranny pan. Thanks
