I like the Chrome. I'm looking to get one as well for my '04. I'm just trying to find a place that sells and installs as opposed to purchasing online.

I did good! I found the Westin Bull Bar at a very, very good price on eBay.

The model is the 33-1280. It was being sold for 4Runners.

I bought it and had my Lexus dealer install it.

I paid 278 for it.

Personal preference I would presume. Some people like more chrome, others do not want more chrome... It looks good in both chrome and black but if I were to pick on an Ash Blue Mica GX, I would prolly take the black one.. To me, it wouldn't be so much of that "bling bling" like on those Escalades, Navigators, etc.. ;)

I bought the chrome Westin Bull Bar.

I too have the Ash Blue Mica.

The bull bar is slightly smaller than I expected so it's not as gaudy as you would think, at least I don't think so. But you may think differently.

Can't find any good pictures of a GX470 with the Westin Bull Bar.

I wanted to find out what my SUV would look like with a Westin Bull Bar.

So I "Photoshopped" my GX470 with a Westin Bull Bar.

This is what I came up with...

I would like to get a Westin Ultimate Bull Bar 33-1280 for my GX470.

The 33-1280 also fits the 4Runner.

Westin has Ultimate Bull Bar installation instructions for the 4Runner.

They do not have instructions for the GX470.

Westin tells me that they do not have instructions because they have never tried it on a GX470 so they don't know for sure if it fits.

Has anyone else put a Westin Bull Bar on your GX470?

Most of the stuff is trash...the housing is broken, the lenses are chipped, lugs are missing etc.

I saw one perfect composite headlight assembly. Unfortunately it was for the passenger side.

But I'll keep looking.

Does anyone buy a Certified GX from ebay? My local dealer's GX CPOs are too expensive, and they are very hard to negotiate down even in current bad market.

I don't have an answer but...

1. I would really want to see the car (truck) that I am buying up close and personal.

2. I've heard some horror stories about the auto shipping companies. The cars can really get beat up unless you choose a good one.

I found my GX470 via cars.com.

I searched and searched for months before I found the GX470 at the price I wanted.

But it was worth it, I got it at a "great" price and it has everything.

By the way, with cars.com you can narrow the search to certified only.

I have to replace the driver's side headlight assembly.

I can no longer hear the voice guidance on my GX470's navigation system.

It was working but now the volume is gone.

I've tried the obvious; checked the volume display and the Setup menu.

The map is displaying correctly but there is no voice to accompany the map. :(

Any suggestions?

If I remember right, Lexus start putting in TPMS on the GX on 2004.

Yes, I looked at cars.com, carsdirect.com, and lexus.com, they all start showing TPMS on the 2004 model but not one the 2003.

If your GX470 have a metal tire valve stem and a metal cap, then you have TPMS. If the valve stem is rubber, you do not.

First, check the manual. Then see if an orange light showing a tire cross section with an exclamation point inside it shows up on the instrument panel when starting the car. On an RX350 it is next to the gas gauge. It goes out after about two seconds.

If all else fails then deflate a tire to 20 pounds or so and see if something shows up on the dash.

I am 99.99 percent certain that my 2003 GX470 does NOT have TPMS.

There does not appear to be a TPMS indicator in the instrument panel.

But I need to be 100 percent certain.

Does anyone disagree with me?
