The hardware is ready , for adding the beep confirmation when locking or unlocking the doors on 1st generation ls400, but i need ecu pin out for both the door ecu , and main body ecu regarding the locks, tested manually i get a nice (beep beep beep) when doors lock or unlock ..... Help me out here !!!

Craig try to unplug the water temp sensor and runing the car , tell us what it did. (Its located right next to the thermostat housing it has 2 cables comig out of it. If you stand in front of the car it would be to the left of the thermostat housing just beneath the ignnition coil , right next to it thers the gauge temp sensor tha has only one cabel comig olut of it.

The ECU temp sensor, for the efi , i mean i took out and check the resistence with my multimeter and hot pot of water , and it was alright, but with the launch it read differently, dont know why.. If you guys can get a hold of a diagnostic system that display the values in real time, you could pin point your problem right away trust me , theres a couple of software out there that u can download from p2pp networks, and get a cable from ebay, hook it up to your laptop and voila , instant 'real time" diagnostic system... best of luck , any info dont hesitet to shout, i can get values from the launch on my car and relay them to you for comparison. sorry forgot to the tell you that i didnt got a mil code, the sensor was just reading wrong , remember that the mil will only go off , if theres a short or opne circuit , not if its not reading correct.

Hey guys , well i got great news for you, got my problem fix, after a year of tinkering with ecu and tps , all sorts of electronics . Sorry craig and swordfish you havent ffigured out your problem.. :( Well here it goes, as you know my car wouldnt go pass after 4k, iand it wouldn change gears on wot with the kickdown on it would just stay there on 4k. So a buddy of mine finally got the "the launch" diagnostic system for his garage and decide it to test it with my car.....SURPRISE SURPRISE no ecu codes , thats not news. But we went for a ride with the launch connected , and look at tha values for the engine MY CLUSTER WASNT DISPLAYING CORRECTLY what i thought was 4k was 5875 rpms, and the reason it didnt wanrt to shift was a low trans oil, combined with a bad temp sensor it read -16 celcius on a 38 c degree day. So as you see i was chasing 3 separate problems that acted as one. BUT this diagnostic system is the Shizzle , im so happa now, guys sorry you havent fix yours let me know if aicand do something for you from this end.

I thought it might me my tranny as i post it recently , but its not, i changed my ecu , same problem. i just have lowpower after 4000, i put my car on 1 and wot and the car would reach red line but at its own pace , but it reached the redline so its not my tranny , its just that it doesnt have enough power after 4000 any help

Guys i think i've norrow it down to my transmision , cause the car has plenty of power till 4000 then just stays there , i took my car to a friend who works at lexus , and he told it most likely a trans problem, and my cousin who also works on cars , actually works them over (hes a racer), mostly toyotas, told me that it was a tranny problem , and told me to check if its cable operated or electric operated, if its cable it need it adjustment and if it was electric it need it a 'basic adjustment", any info on how to do that....and i do think its a tranny problem cause i just did a burn out , that andretti would have been proud...

Sowrdfish , i see a common denominator here im too loosing coolant , dont know where , i think i have blown head gasket, havent chang tghe tps nor coils, but i did replace a distributor cap . I dont think is a tps , cause i checked according to manual and its within specs, i dont get any mil , so i think it has to do something with the water pressure .... Ill keep checking on i t.

Hey swordfish, sorry to call u up this way , but i couldnt pm u , for some reason, well the point is , that im having the same problem as you do for the last year with no luck , i have no power after 4k rpm, no misses nothing ,have to let off the throtle for it to shift , is the exactly same prob as u , changed a bad distributor cap, i know that my cats are good, and other things that may cause this , well anyway , i hope that u have resolved ur situation and may share some info , with me . Well anyway any type of info will be appreiated , thanks bro...

Regular ect, i found out , that the code only come one after a long comute , if im driving around town its fine, probably, my cat its not flowing as it shoud on higher revs ..

I know, but mostly im more impressed about the stability of these car at 100 + mph, i mean dont get me wrong, but i'v always been an euro type of guy , you know stiff chassis and suspension, but these car has the best of both worlds, comfy arond town, and solid as a rock on highway . Im really impressed , wasnt expecting these type of behavior from a japanese car . Im thinking on removing the cats , if these is the problem that set the codes, since i dont have any emission control here in Dominican Republic, and getting an o2 sim to trick the ecu, what do u guys think....

Guys , took at trip to the beach today , everything went well on the way there , on my way back , i got a check engine , i said no biggy its not on limp mode so its not that bad , and took off. ON the highway i encounter an "ultimate driving machine ", aka bmw 5 series, the guy is constantly on my tail and trying to pass, i decide to let him pass, so i can show him , that you need to have some respects for your elders, jeje "1991 ls", he went by, and took his hand out and waved at me, , i got *BLEEP*ed ,so idecide to call in the ponys , 70, 80 , 90mph and got close to him , got right next him .and floored it , wooof 95 100 105, he decided to go against the little green monster , all of sudden it was just him and i on a 4 lane , doing 115 he chickend out at 120 somthing and the little one was solid as a rock at 120 ,first time at these speeds on the lexus, VERY IMPRESS and i rolled my window toook my hand out , c ya , buster :chairshot: . It would have had a happy ending , but when i got home i checked my codes and it was a 27 and 29 , i know they are the subs, but is there anyway i can do a checkup to see if it were my cats that went shot, i have no glowing red cats under the car , any help , would be appreciated ....

Sw03es i couldnt agree more with you, thats what i would like to see in my country, and im a faithfull advocate on more strict gun control. For instance in the states you have the right to bear arms, but does that makes it ok for anyone to have one, hec NO, not everyone is capable or has the maturity to handle a deadly weapon. For me a solution would be EDUCATION and Stricter gun policy,. But in this country theres a heated debate betwen Authoritys that issue the permits and gun bearing citizens, Because theyre making it more difficult for civilians to get a permit, but at the same time criminals are getting their hands on more sophisticated weapons , And i can understand the civil part , being their argument that "Youre taking away my permit and gun , then whose gonna protect me , i cant count on the police and your doing nothing about the gun smuggling " Authoritys responds "Try to avoid difficult parts of the country dont drive at late hours of the night , be carefull". And i say to that , im becoming a prisioner on my own country , i mean, i have the right to go where ever i want whenever i want , or am i wrong. So you see we may be on different parts but crime affects us all, We need to find a solution , otherwise there will be a moment , where we coulndt even go to the neighbors house.

JC11907 : if i were to live in a different place, where i can count on the police maybe it would've been different, but sadly here i cant, reading skperformance post he can vouch , on whats living in the caribbean. I have to let you know that the bike that was being stolen , wasnt going to be chopped for parts , it was going to be use for criminal activities such as drive by , purse snatching and every kind of criminal acts you can imagine . Maybe that guy using that bike , would've been the guy that , god forbid, tomorrow night has a gun pointing at my moms head asking her to move over or GOD FORBID get her in the back seat with another criminal. So im trying to make you see were im coming from, Its not a being a "Captain save the day " thing, it was trying to prevent a future crime. I dont know if you've been a victim of a crime and if not, GOD PROTECT YOU AND YOUR LOVE ONES TO NOT BECOME ONE. But i've been one, and it changes you completly, u see things in another way Sw03ES: in relation to if i didnt have the gun , i honestly cant say what i've would it done, cause no one knows till the moment arrives.
