I see the 1MZ-FE 3.0L used in many Toyota's and Lexus. I need an engine for a 2001 RX 300, will any 1MZ-FE 3.0L from a different car such as the Highlander, other Lexus cars work if installed in the RX300? I realize the wire harness, and other addon's may be different, I am just talking about the engine itself, thanks

The tirerack picks for OEM size wheels should have the same offsets as OEM. If any doubt, give them a call. Their customer service is always top-notch.
They will also offer wider choices. You can sort by weight, cost, etc and even see what the wheels look like on your vehicle's image. Thanks, I will check

Go to www.tirerack.com to see OEM sizes for each generation.
It appears the wheels will fit, since they all have the same bolt pattern. I can also find the correct tires, but I don't see any wheel offset settings. I suppose this is available from Lexus.

Will wheels from later model RX 330, 350 Lexus work on the RX 300's? I know the tire size is different, but what about the offset, etc.,

I have used metal wheel polish, and it works fine if the lights are not too bad. The 3M Headlight Restore for me worked the best so far.

I have seen the older Explorers with 300k, (96-01 V8) but they are known for transmission failures long before the engine goes. As for the Lexus RX, I have owned several of the RX 300, and seen those with nearly 400k and still running ok. It really depends on the maintenance, a lot of that now a days is listed in a CarFax Report, if done at a reputable shop. The only problems I see with newer RX350's is not so much the engine or trans, but electrical gremlins. Good luck with your new Lexus!

I have an 2001 RX300 with the Toyota 1MZ-FE 3.0L Engine. I see this engine was installed in many Toyota's and wanted to know if the engine was the same in all Toyota/Lexus? I realize the wire harness and some of the electricals may be different, also front wheel drive and AWD engines appear to be different. I need a FWD Engine, can I use it from any of the FWD Toyota's/Lexus or is there any mechanical difference such as cams, mounting assy., etc., thanks!
I'm also currently looking at a wrecked 99 Lexus ES 300 with the same FWD engine.

I know this is an old post, but it appears the timing belt is off a tooth.
