It means that you turn the key only until it's in the "on" position, not all the way to "start".
If you see "ready" on the display you have turned too far.
Ok thanks! I tried that also but it doesn't work :(
I have european car so perhaps that is the reason.

I just learned how you can turn off the Traction Control system on an RX 400h:
1. Switch the car off, then switch it on without (ready) light.
2. While on P, press the gas pedal 4 times.
3. Shift to N, press the gas pedal 4 times.
4. Shift to P again, press gas pedal 4 times.
5. Switch the car to ready and drive (at your own risk) without computer controlled wheels!
The next time you start the car it will be back to normal again.
Hey!
I have a RX400H 2007 and I have been trying this trick for several times but no luck so far :(
Could someone please tell me what this means "1. Switch the car off, then switch it on without (ready) light." I'm not sure how to do this since every time I start the car the ready light is already on?
Perhaps I'm just stupid but I would really need to figure this out since where I'm living we have a lot of snow.
Thanks already for your help!

I'm in Finland ;)
Now I got it working! My error was to use break pedal to be able to shift from the P. Now I realised that you don't have to do that if you keep the stick to the very right.
Tusen tack!
