HOPING FOR SOME HELP. I HAVE A 2003 LS430 AND IT HAS SOME DASH
RATTLES. BEEN TO THE SHOP TWICE, BUT THEY HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO FIX IT.
DOES ANY ONE KNOW HOW TO REMOVE THE "FACE PLATE" THAT IS AROUND
THE NAVIGATION UNIT? I BELIEVE IF I COULD GET THAT OFF, I COULD LOCATE
THE RATTLE.

I have a 2003 LS430 and need to know what kind of snow chains to get. I
only would be using about once a year, as I live in California and do not
get a chance to go the mountains often. Would like to have easy to install
set, and was wondering if anyone has had problems with inside clearance isuues?
Thanks for you advice!

I have a 2003 LS430 with the "air cooled" front seats. Has anyone changed
out the "filter" that is located underneath the seat? The owners manual shows
it being located in a tray, however I see it under the seat in a difficult place
to remove. Was wondering how this would be removed, as it is not in the
"tray" as stated in the owners manual.

I have a 2003 ls430 with 9,000 miles. I never noticed this before
but now I notice that while driving at highway speeds and lift my
foot of the gas pedal and start to coast, when the RPM's drop
down to 1100 RPM's, it surges up in speed and RPM's to approx.
1300 RPM's. I have started off in both 4th and 3rd gear, and the
same thing happens when RPM's hit 1100, it surges up to 1300 RPM"S
and increases speed. Does this seem like a transmission or ECM problem.

Does anyone know if there is an adjustment
to "loosen" it up?
-
It is stiffer at all speeds, like it has more tension and
doesn't feel as smooth as the one on the 1994 version.
-
I wanted to know if anyone has noticed stiffer
steering in the newer ls430's over the older
1994 ls400's? There seems to be alot more tension
in the steering wheel on the ls430. Is there an
adjustment to "loosen" it up?

THANKS TO ALL! YOU HAVE CONFRIMED WHAT I
THOUGHT. I WILL BE USING PREMIUM FUEL.
-
I have always used premium gas in my 1994 ls 400
and now purchased a new ls 430. The manual calls
for premium gas, but I heard that you really do not
need to use it. Has anyone else heard this, and should
it be done?

I AM PICKING UP A NEW 2003 LS430 NEXT WEEK AND
WAS WONDERING IF ANY KNEW WHAT THE BREAK IN SCHEDULE WOULD BE. (I'VE NEVER BOUGHT A NEW
CAR BEFORE)
ALSO I JUST NOTICE IN THE BROCHURE THAT THERE
IS A STATEMENT THAT SAYS" TIRES FITTED WITH
17 X 7.5 INCH WHEELS ARE EXPECTED TO EXPERIENCE
GREATER WEAR THAN CONVENTIONAL TIRES. TIRES
LIFE MAY BE SUBSTANTIALLY LESS THAN 20,000 MILES. MY QUESTION IS WHY AND CAN I DO
ANYTHING ABOUT IT?

THANKS FOR THE INFORMATION! I HAVE A 1994 LS400 AND LOVE IT, BUT STARTING TO GET THE
"ITCH" FOR A NEWER MODEL.
-
I HAVE BEEN THINKING OF A NEW OR USED LATE MODEL LS430. WAS WONDERING IF THE MARK
LEVINSON STEREO WAS THAT MUCH BETTER THAN
THE REGULAR ONE? DO THE CLIMATE CONTROL
SEATS REALLY COOL AS STATED? ANY OTHER OPTIONS THAT SHOULD BE CONSIDERED?
-
I'M NEW TO THIS FORMAT AND HAD A QUESTION. I HAVE A 1994 LS400 WITH 62K MILES. I NOTICED THAT THE TRANSMISSION SEEMS TO HESITATE WHEN UNDER A LOAD (IN OVER DRIVE) AT ABOUT 50MPH. IT FEELS LIKE IT WANTS TO SHIFT DOWN, BUT DOESN'T
ANY IDEAS?

Mecullica, Thank you for your information. I will take a closer look at it to see
if I am comfortable doing it. Thanks again!
