Thanks .. finally got it working ... I was testing it by sending a text to myself ... found out it just doesn't work that way .. when I received a legitimate text from someone else, it showed up just fine ... tnx much for helping.

Thank You for your response but I already did this. (see my original post) ... I guess my question is .. do texts just pop up on whatever navi screen you are on at the time or do you have to choose a specific screen to see incoming texts?

I just bought a 2013 RX350 F Sport with Navi. I have an Iphone 6 Plus. Verizon is my carrier. From reading, I understand that the Navi is supposed to support the reading of incoming text messages but I cannot get them to appear. I've turned on "Show Notifications" in my settings. Is there something else I need to do to get them to appear on the Navi screen? Do I need to have a specific screen selected on the Navi to see them? I'm technically pretty good but I can't seem to get this to work. I feel like I'm missing something simple.
Can anyone help please?
Thank You.
Extended warranty worth it?

I just purchased a 2013 RX350 FSport a few weeks ago. This is our third RX350 ... first was 2004 (RX330), then 2008 and now this one. My wife and I love them. I always buy extra warranty BUT ONLY FROM LEXUS ... NEVER THIRD PARTY. We finance for five years and I like to have warranty that covers most of the financing period. Lexus warranty is excellent because you can go to any Lexus dealer and be assured a great service and know they will still be in business when you need them. Not so with third party and many are scams. On my 2008, the struts went bad in the fourth year of service and it was completely covered .. I knew two were bad and Lexus, unsolicited, found the other two were bad too and changed them at the same time ... gave me a loaner (brand new RX350) for a week with no cost to me. That's why I love Lexus.
Bottom line, consider buying extra years of warranty but only from Lexus ... never from a third party.
Hope this helps ...
