Finding white dust on the dashboard RX350 2007 model year.

Lexus service staff suggest it is the evaporator , which would require a lot of work, to remove the entire dashboard and repair/replace evaporator.

I never heard before of "evaporator" in any vehicle, so this was a big surprise to me.

Any experience with this problem , please comment if you have info ?

My 2007 RX350 was purchased in 2011 pre-owned certified with 36,000 mile warranty.

Need to buy a reliable repair insurance policy.

Not available at my Lexus dealer in NY (Ray Catena)

Anyone have a reference for reliable insurance company ?
