  1. I just purchased a new 2013 Lexus ES 350. I was disappointed to find, when I was introduced to the Service Manager, that there were no mud guards available for my new car. His statement was that "Lexus doesn't think they look good on the ES 350". I wish that Lexus would let the buyer/owner decide what looks good on their new car. In any case, I would like to know if anyone knows where these might be available - any country - at a non-outrageous price. I did see them on Ebay for nearly $400. USD with shipping. Too much! Also, if anyone knows what model designation the ES 350 is outside the USA or even if it's sold outside of America. To the best of my knowledge the ones listed for sale DO NOT fit the 2013 ES 350. Thanks for the info...

We just purchased a 2014 ES350 and I noticed at the bottom of the door (when it is opened) I see a rubber strip attached along the bottom (like a shower door sweep). Is this also on the 2013 ES350? If it is not, maybe that was the fix for keeping the grunge off the sill?

  2. We had a 06 Solara that had the same issue. Not all the time, but occasionally we would get the smell. We live in the desert southwest. We just purchased a 2014 ES350 and are in the habit of putting the car in re-circ a few minutes from our destination. So far no smells, so maybe that is indeed keeping the coils dry before shutting off. We had a Lexus loaner 2013 Es350 with 12,000 miles on the odo and ....yep...it had the smell. And it never really dissapated totally, even after driving a while. Our car now has 480 miles on the ODO and as long as we can keep up the practice of useing re-circ, I hope we will be OK. Kind of a pain though, to have to do this.

WAKE UP LEXUS AND FIX THIS ISSUE!!!!
