The Ignition switch failed, and I can't unlock the steering wheel to roll the car down the steep driveway for the tow truck. How can I unlock the steering??

Did you make sure it isn't just turned one way or the other before it locked? If it is, you only have to put a little extra force in the opposite direction and then turn the key. If this is it, it will be obvious which way to turn the steering wheel because it won't move one direction at all. Move it the other direction (just a little off the lock) and turn the key.
