Hello everyone,
My friend 1999 Lexus GS300 has becomes un-drivable lately; when cold, the car idle @1,100 rpm and as it gets hot the idle speed increases gradually as the temperature rises up to 1,800 rpm. The car surges real hard when we engage the transmission and the idle lower to around 800 to 1,000 rpm in gears. When we attempt to drive; it stalls out and could not restart it backup unless we took the key out of the ignition.
We disconnect the negative cable and leave it out of the car for one night; the next morning, reconnect the battery terminal and start the car up with the same results. Then we follow some instructions clean out the throttle body with seafoam (battery disconnect during the process) but no changes.
What could have causes this and how are we going to make it drives great again?
Greatly appreciates all the helpful advices.
Thanks all!
