I still do, although I haven't driven it in nearly a week because I'm recovering from eye surgery.
I do gaze at it adoringly from my window though : )

Your phone doesn't have a calculator?
Oh do you mean my land line? It was too hard with the rotary dial.
Another member was kind enough to help me. -thanks-

I know this is an IS250/350 thread, but it sure seems like most here no longer have IS350 's....
Just checking for signs of life.
Yes I still have mine after one month LOL

Can someone help me with a little math?
If a car was driven 61k miles over the course of 8 years, how many miles per year was it driven?

I think I posted this question before but don't recall if it was answered completely.
Can the daytime driving lights be upgraded so that they're brighter?
Yes--turn the light switch to "ON".
They're always on...??

You need to have the Mark Levinson system to play dvds.
I do, so this is good to know. Thanks! :)

What is your favorite part of your navigation system?
Which settings do you prefer and why? (distance setting, etc)
Do you have the nav system on even when you know exactly where you're going?
I'd like to turn mine off altogether sometimes (like during the day) - how do I do that?

Asking for a friend/passenger : )

The 2008 IS350 looks great, great find.
Consider fixing the 2 tone tint and have the 2 fronts done in 35% or 50% tint. That will make the difference from front to back look less severe (less of a taxi, airport limo, towncar, SUV effect).
I've attached a pic of mine with 35% on all windows front and back.
Wanted to let you know I re-did the tint this weekend...35% on all windows front and back and it looks so much better. Thanks for the rec. Loving it. Will upload a new pic soon. No more taxi LOL

If you're looking for the maximum output in terms of lumens, then HIR bulbs are the solution to replace your DRLs.
But they're the same "color" as the standard ones. If you're looking to get a more "white" HID look, we're kind of out of luck.
So they can't be upgraded to a brighter white?
-
Has anyone replaced the standard bulbs with high def/super bright bulbs? If so, any problems? Recs?

Sounds great these are great cars. Always drove Toyota which is the same but all I will ever own now is the lex. I hoping to get 2 more years and I getting a new one.
Amazing mileage! Welcome to the club Tony! :D Toyota is the same and then again it isn't. Would you rather pick up your date in a Camry or a Lexus?! ^_^

Welcome to the club Vinny! :D

I was both surprised and disappointed that I could not find any touchless car washes in my area (suburb of L.A.).
However, I was very pleased to find out this morning from the shop that is detailing my car today that it is standard for them to only use a leaf blower to dry all of the cars they work on. A leaf blower! YES. That's what I'm talking about. Truly touchless. :D I do not want my paint getting messed up!
Wish there were more car wash bays in my area that offered this!

You read my mind and I totally agree. Scheduling tint work for next Saturday for the 2 fronts. Today she is getting a mani-pedi at the detailer's. One thing at a time LOL
BTW your car is gorgeousss!

I don't think that's available.
According to my owner's manual (page 233): " The following interior lights come on automatically when you approach the vehicle with the electronic key on your person. Front overhead courtesy light, Rear overhead courtesy light, Outer foot light".
-
What do I do in order to set up the automatic interior lighting so that when I approach the car and the car senses the key's transponder chip, they turn on?

Let's see a picture of that new ride, what color is the IS350?
Added a pic :)

I had to laugh at myself today. I am guilty of doing all the things that I HATE other new car drivers to do!
Here are my sins, in no particular order:
Driving too slowly
Choosing a parking space as if it is a life or death decision
Admiring my car from the window to make sure it's still beautiful. And still there.
Looking back at the car at least twice after parking and locking
Welcoming stop lights (more time to bond)
Wiping away the smallest smudge with my shirt sleeve
Braking for absolutely no reason (so annoying)
Checking the weather forecast to plan my car wash
Leaving a little early for work...so I can have even more time to go...too slow
Silently fuming at others who dare to park next to me when I have already parked 100 feet away from everybody else
Worrying about my car when I'm not there to protect it. Ok, that might be pushing it!
Lock me up and throw away the key! I love my car!
-
Agree wholeheartedly with all of this...most defects come from washing. Don't touch the paint. You can think about touching it but DON'T touch it! I'm sure you're enjoying your new car. Congrats!

A coin holder for quarters standing on edge? My LS has one in a similar location but it's behind a little door.
Wow this is going to drive me nuts. For now I am going to agree and say yes it is for about 4 quarters standing on edge or exactly three pieces of Orbit gum

To the left of the knob, there is like a hook "thing". What on earth is this?
