I would agree with landar, another option is to take the battery to have it load tested. Could be a defective battery or intermittent alternator.

Thanks for the quick responses. Burning almost 2 quarts between oil changes is becoming a bit of concern. The oil has to go somewhere? I may have to make a trip to the dealer. Anyone else with similar experience?

I have a 2007 IS-350 that was purchased from my sister-in-law. She bought the car new and she's a pretty conservative driver. It started around 60k miles, the low oil light was coming on every 1000-1500 miles. I would check the oil level and it would be at least one quart low. Top it off and 1000-1500 miles later, it would be low again. She changes the oil every 3000 miles. I have also changed the oil for her in the past and have always put the exact amount of oil (6.7 quarts).

The car has around 83k now and it's still doing the same thing. I park it in the gargage and I don't see any signs of an oil leak from anywhere. Other than that, the car drives without any issues. No black smoke coming out of the tailpipe.

Is it normal for this car to be burning oil just from daily driving? Has any one experience this issue with their IS? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Nish, I repaired my touch screen following another instructional topic on this forum. If you can remove the touch screen and drop it off with me, I may be able to repair it for you. Takes a day or so. I'm in the Oceanside area.

Many thanks for posting this fix. Did exactly what you stated and the nav screen works now. Cost was $20 for the circuit writer pen. I used a high power magnifying glass to help see the joint when scraping and when applying the silver solder. Makes it much easier. Let it dry overnight, test it and viola, continuity!!!
