  1. Hey all, even though I've been a member for a few years now I haven't really posted a question yet.

My 99 es300 idles loudly at about 1100 rpm as soon as I start the car (not cold, its summer)... it is really noisy and it makes me cringe... however as soon as I put it in reverse it drops to its normal ~600-700 RPM... and it never does it again, even at traffic lights.

So basically the problem is only RIGHT after I start the car and still have it in park.

I've been looking around the site and I'm thinking it could be the throttle body that needs to be cleaned? I'm a complete car noob so I'm not sure if that's right.

If anyone has any suggestions or guesses it would be appreciated.

    Thanks!

  2. you can put on one of those quick disconnect battery terminals and just leave the battery disconnected when you are not going to use it for a while. That will keep the battery fresh.

Doesnt that also reset all his radio settings? :whistles: Just wondering...

  3. This will only work if you have a high-level input on your amp, if not, then an RCA converter will be needed.

High level meaning? The samp im looking at says speaker level input....:whistles:

I am running 1 channel to the subs, and the other to the set of deck speakers. I am using 2 channels to power 4 speakers. 2 subs, and 2 components.

does that mean taht the front speakers are in no way affected by the new amp?

wow that is really unsecure. so you can choose any remote or does it have to be the specific remote for your car to broadcast over the cellphone?

    ummm....... no :o

it obviously has to be yours

      which cars do that?

    sounds odd

as it uses fm frequency which is going to be hard for a cell phone to reproduce correctly

well it worked on my Mercury Villager and the person who told me used it on his Nissan Murano... he told me read it a magazine so it cant be my imagniation.... :D

  5. Dont know if someone else already said this but.....

    Someone told me this:

Say you somehow lock your keys in the car. If someone else has a spare keyless entry remote, they can call you on your cell phone and press the remote next to their cellphone, and you hold your cell phone next to your car, it goes through the cellphones and unlocks your car! I thought it was pretty cool....... i tried it and it worked by the way...

p.s. I dont know if i said this enough :whistles: but it has to be a cellphone

  6. Hey,

Aight this is kind of hard to explain....... I got some leds to put in my car, but heres the problem.

They turn on if u twist them. I dont wanna turn on each one everytime iget in the car, so is there any way anyone can think of to make them connect to a switch or something?..... or someway to make them connect to the cig. adapter?? BTW they run off of two batteries, the small ones u find in wwatches.

I knwo this is sort of a not-really-car-thing and more electronics-and-circuit-stuff-thing.

  7. :blushing: sry i already looked at the faq just wanted to know if there were other things......................... o and in the faq it says that u can put the headlights in an oven....... dont want to sound like a losre but .............temp? and what does it mean by u can remove the amber lens-does it have a clear one or shud u buy a clear one?? AND what is this thing with ram air......... i know it says in the faq that "short ram" and a regular intake wont increase performance but what about the ram air conversion kit from weapon r?
