Does anyone know what lights are on (parking or running) and what triggers the headlights to come on when the lights are in the "auto" position on a 1997 Lexus ES300?
My daughter got in an accident where the other driver said she didn't see my daughter coming and pulled in front of her totaling our Lexus. It was 9:20pm in Boise, Idaho on May 5, 2012. I've checked the sunset and twilight times. Sunset was at 8:51pm and Twilight was 9:23pm. A couple of witnesses said that it was pure dark and my daughter did not have her lights on. The officer said he found the lights in the "auto" position. I had my Lexus serviced at a Lexus authorized dealer in February where on their checklist they check all of the lights.
The other drivers insurance is saying that it was 35 percent my daughters fault because of the lights not being on.
If anyone could help, I would be grateful.
