Hi. I own a Lexus RX-300 (2000), and am looking for a replacement door/cover for my Instrument Panel Auxiliary Box?
For clarification, the part that I need is the little drop-down door (on the instrument panel--just left of the steering wheel) which can typically be used to hold coins. See Attached Pic (from Owner's Manual)
I believe the part number is: 5545048021B0. The color of my instrument panel is blueish-gray.
If anyone has a used replacement door/cover they can sell me, or has any suggestions as to where I might find one online, please let me know.
I live in Oakland, CA.
Thanks for your help!!

Thanks!!
Here are a few pictures of what to do (same for your rx300). You need a flat head screw driver and a philips head as well.Use the flat head screw driver to pop off the caps that cover the screws that attach the unit to the car (there are two of these; you will see them). then remove these screws with the philips head screw driver. Then gently pry the unit off of the car using the flat head screw driver (see pics). you can use your hands as well to pull it away. Do not pry from the side where the screws are; start from the other end. don't worry, it may "feel" like something's going to break; but it wont!
Good luck!

Can anyone provide me with instructions (or point me to an online instruction manual) for assisting me with installing a rear tail light unit on my 2000 RX300?
Specifically, I need to replace the driver's side rear tail light (the unit with the turn signal light inside)...see attached photo.
Thanks for the help!!

i have an rx300 (2000) and just bought a Thule Evolution 1800, but had to return it because the box would have to be mounted to far forward on the vehicle, due to the the rear spoiler on the RX300....

Hey. I have a quick question for you Rx300 owners.....I just bought a used 2000 RX300 and noticed that my gas cap has no retaining strap to keep the cap attached to the vehicle (so you don't lose the cap). Is this standard? or does the gas cap originally come with some sort of retaining device/strap which keeps the gas cap attached to the car??
Thanks for your help!
