I just finished a heater core replacement on my 91' LS400. Great DIY project! :chairshot:

How much?

I've used the Conti ExtremeContact ones on my Lexus (18"), Subaru STI (17"). Good tire for the price. Extreme high demand. Also used Michelin Pilot Sport A/S on my 18". Those are great tires , just tooooooo pricey.

I have a problem with my swaybar bushings too. Waiting for it to warm up so I can change them. Thanks for the write-up.

I've used BG44K Fuel Injector Cleaner. Just add a can to your gas. Never had to go in thru the air-cleaner hosing. I could see you spraying starting fluid thru the air-cleaner hosing if the car's having problems starting.

Attached are the engine codes from the SC400 manual.
How do I see the codes? Am I doing something wrong?

I agree w/ Army One. If you're not getting fuel across, then you could have a bad pump. Also worth checking the fuel filter.
However I doubt it's a clogged filter unless you tossed a chunk of dirt into the tank during your last fill-up.
Just some thoughts. Good luck.

Suggestions:
1) Check all cables. vacuum lines that nothing got disconnected during the wash
2) See if you're getting a spark on each of the cables. 3) If yes, not a bad idea to inspect each of the plugs to make sure they are ok.
-
One suggestion: Did you check the 2 vacuum lines that go from the Power Steering pump to the top valve cover?
-
glad you did
i was about to tell you that you were diagniosing your hvac system
Is there a code list somewhere on the site? I recently had to reset the airbag light, after removing the instrument cluster to replace the heater core.
Thanks

I've had the syvania's on my car for about 8 months now. I just got a pair of Xenon's and am going to try those out.
-
I'll have to check my sway-bar too. Seem to have a similar problem.
-
I've used the Silvertips. - No problems

I have to agree w/ lexus400. Got my 91 LS w/ 130K miles. It had A/C problems too. All fixed except clunk on drivers side front when drive over a pothole/bump. Has new balljoint and new tie-rod.

I had to replace the PS pump on my 91 LS400 too. I now need to figure out what the clink sound is on the drivers side front when I go over a bump. It's got new ball joint and tie-rod

Make sure your belts are in order too.

This is scary!

Sounds like you may have a parasitic drain. - Parasitic drains are the small current drains required to operate various electrical systems, such as the clock, computer memory, or alarms, that continue to work when the car is parked and the ignition is off. All vehicles today have parasitic drains and over time will drain all batteries if not driven or charged periodically. The problem is when the parasitic drain becomes excessive, usually over 35 milliamps.
