If you read the fine prints in your manual, it tells you that the pads are high friction pad. High friction pad use very soft material, it doesnt mean they are cheap. There is a TSB for excessive brake dust for the 07 GS, which they change out the front pads to regular pad with produce less dust but doesnt perform as well. The TSB for the 08 is not out yet, you have to wait til it comes out i guess.
