  1. There was a helpful post by 1990LS400 on 12 April about Panavise GPS brackets, but that bracket requires a fair amount of installation work. ProClip (proclipusa.com) has a couple of brackets for the ES 350 that do not require dashboard dismantling. I have not yet tried them, since I am happy with my Nokia 5800 smartphone with "free navigation forever," free country maps, voice-guided turn by turn and, for those who love to hear themselves talk, the ability to download one's own voice for commands. With its windshield bracket and reasonable battery life, the built-in GPS on my phone (no data plan needed) keeps me free of Nav envy. The GPS market is moving so quickly now, with prices falling and features increasing, that it makes sense to stay flexible. I'm wondering what other GPS options folks have found.

The Proclip brackets look clean and easy to install. I'll post feedback when I buy one. Thanks for the post

  2. I've made the move and go ahead for the CarID one, it's in stainless with triple chrome plated compared with the RonUSA which is cheaper but it is simply polish to a chrome finish like. The guys on CarID are very helpful and they deducted a 10% off the already reduced price. A group buy is possible also if enough people are willing to go.

I will let your guys know the final result. I thing the look would be nice since my car is black on black as the picture shown on their website: http://www.carid.com/2008-lexus-es-chrome-accessories/molding-insert-73114.html

For those who bought the Car ID inserts, do i have to get it professionally installed or can i do it myself?.

    Thanks
