Two of my keys broke. One time I had to go give my cracked key to my wife whose key completely broke in half and left her stranded. Luckily at a Barnes & Nobles. I bought three of those replacement keys off of ebay and had a key shop cut me a new key. I think I paid about 25$ total. The keys I got from ebay are the same quality as the keys that came with the car. Cheap plastic is cheap plastic. My Subaru keys are much better. Hope this helps.

Is the electrical system stock. Meaning has anyone installed any thing electrical like an aftermarket radio of gauge of some kind?

Paul A. I am still reading this thread. I agree with everyone. I need to take my car in to a good body shop and get it painted properly. Thanks everyone for all the help. The rest of the paint looks really good so the dealer probably just had someone throw a new coat of paint on. It used to look good but now it is just peeling more and more. Perhaps I can just peel it all off and it will look better until I can get it re-painted by a pro.

I am not blaming Lexus at all. Since I did buy the car used I have no idea what happened to it before I bought it. It definitely looks like a bad paint job. I did see a few other cars with this problem though in my city. It could just be a bad paint shop. It does not look like a widespread issue so I will deal with it on my own. Thanks for all the help.

I am not going to blame Lexus until I am sure this is happening to others. If I see any more ES's driving around with this issue I will try and take some cell phone pics. Any body else have this issue?

This is what is happening to my ES330.

I have this problem on my wife's ES330. The bumper paint looks like it is peeling. When she pointed it out I started looking at other ES's here in my town and sure enough I saw other cars with this issue. I will post a pic up later when she comes home.

Have the battery tested. There might be enough power for lights and the radio but not enough cranking amps to start the car.

Maybe you have some air bubbles in the system. You might have to burp them out.

Where are you located? Maybe your pulling in a lot of humid air and degrading the AC's performance. Just an idea.

Hello all. I just joined this forum after I saw how much the dealer wanted to charge my wife for some basic maintenance (60k miles).
I am really into the Subaru scene and have modified my WRX into a totally different car. I am not afraid to get under the hood / under the car, but I could use some guidance.
Don't worry I will not be a pest and will be respectful of all members.
So my first question is do you all have any DIY tutorials on how to change the oil, spark plugs, transmission/differential fluids and other various maintenance tasks. I searched briefly but did not have much luck.
Thanks for any help offered. Now I am off to try and get an o2 sensor off my Subaru so I can swap out the exhaust manifolds which I hand ported and polished.

Did you say the power steering fluid went empty?
