Sorry about that "stepper motor" comments on previous post very related to disssembly of the IAC valve.

After reassembly engibe cranked up and ran smooth with no stumble Next morning cranked up after cold night soak at 25 degrees cranked up and ran at 12-1400 fst idle spped as normal operation. Checked two more times and all is well. We'll see how emission check goes.

Ok I'm back for emissions test and again have starting problems and poor idle or stumbing. All same procedures as back in 2009, but main things that really worked well were change or clean the spark plugs, clean the throttle body and disassemble and apply very slight Mobile One oil application to stepper motor and screw threads on the positioning probe. Will post some followup pictures.
