On the passenger side rear of my car there's only about an inch of vertical distance clearence between the top of the tire and the outside lip of the wheel well and 1.5 inches on the drivers side. This car has the 17" OEM 2001 wheels. Other LS430s I have seen look a bit low in the rear so I'm wondering if this is normal or a really exepense problem. Any help appreciated.

Has anyone had this trouble with a 2001+ LS430. I'm curious as to the life span of the air suspension, especially on the ultra.

What I liked was that video converter, the ability to easily add the backup camera. When I linked from the video page I didn't realize it just linked to a general page. So, has anyone used this kit?

I'm wondering what the odds are that Lexus might reconsider their decision. I cannot believe it would be that difficult to retrofit our cars. It's not like we're driving low-end cars. I chatted with a Cadillac salesman while driving the new STS and I believe Onstar is providing an upgrade. I'm reaching here, but I would be willing to spearhead a petition drive if I get support from the users community. I'm a gadget nut and want mine to !Removed! work!

BTW - Lexus Link is a nice service if you can get connected. I use it to place phone calls all the time!

you beat me to it rl. lexus link is dead for new subs because its currently analog and furthermore the current units will not be upgraded to digital and there is a current TSB for owners to come in and have it removed/disabled. this ties the current record for the over use of the word and variants of current.

Lexus link actually isn't discontinued, I have it in my 01 and it seems to work ok; I get an answer when I press it. Every now and then I get a call failure, depending on where I am and conditions. I guess after 2008 it'll be touch and go as analog won't be required by the FCC. Perhaps they'll have a digital upgrade.

Doesn't the 04 and the 05 SC430 come with a digital version? How hard could it be to swap it out, I can't image the actual unit being any larger than a small crcuit board.

I got a 2001, exactly like someone posted, off lease, 41,000 miles, got a great deal, someone else took the hit! I looked over the 2004 brochure, and the 2001 is pretty much the same body style and interior. The 2004 has more high end tech stuff, but $70,000 was out of the question. I love my 2001, it has the ultra luxury package and driving in the commute has never been better!

Where is the best place for me to buy a DVD update for the navigation of my LS430 2001?

I noticed that my 2001 LS430 has a plastic plug where the camera is on the 2004, does anyone know if the wiring is there, and if it would work as a retrofit? B)
