Ok Guys... Thanks for the no response... I'd figure there would be a Lexus Tech lurking around, but I'll try to disclose all knowledge I have....

My wife took the LX to the dealer and they stated that this is a common problem with the LX450's. That the catalytic converter registers false readings when in frigid temperatures. He checked the codes and also the cat and verified that all is fine. So he just reset the codes. SOOOO if you have a check engine light come on, it could be the 2 reasons stated in the previous post or a false reading on the cats in cold temps (below 30 degrees ambient) I haven't seen any Service Bulletins or Recalls about this but I believe the service tech at Johnson's Lexus in Raleigh.

C'mon guys... lets make this forum help us!!! Try to post something useful when you find things out!

    Thanks,

I have a 99 Lexus lx 470 and had check engine light come on once when I didn't tighten the gas cap all the way and second most recently but it not the gas cap. I had a diagnosis of bad O2 sensor which was replaced. The check engine light was off for about 3 days but has recently returned. I think that it is the cat. coverter, but it doesn't seem to be causing a problem at this point so I give.

  2. My right turn signal stays on contantly when my headlights are on.  I have checked all the bulbs and fuses and they are okay.  I was told that it might be my signal flasher is bad.  I am trying to locate this thing and cannot find it?  I bought a 3 pronged plungin flasher from AutoZone that was supposed to replace the old one, but I don't see anything similar to this under the dash on the left?   Can someone tell specifically where this flasher is and if they think this is the problem? Thanks.

  3. Flasher relay is under the dash, just to the left of steering column. Another possibility is it could a bad turn signal switch/stalk.

I need to replace the signal flasher and I am having a hard time finding it under the dash to the left of the steering column. Do I have to take off any part of the column or dash to locate it? Thanks.
