  1. I have a 90 LS400--it has a cam seal leak. The motor has 225K and runs like a top--but should I replace the Cam seal or just purchase another motor from Ebay? Dont know which avenue to take

If the engine runs great, a cam seal is a lot less work, time, and money than a new engine. You could also take that opportunity to do an ahead of schedule timing belt change and change the other cam seal.

  2. My 90 LS400 has 15" chrome 5 spoke wheels. One of them has a bit of wobble and I want to replace it. When I look for wheels using the year and model none of them look like mine. Can anyone identify if this came from another year or model, or if it is aftermarket?

  3. I used the gasket that came with the filter kit when I did mine, and the gasket disintegrated completely in 2 days. Bolts were torqued to spec. At least I was practiced for the 2nd removal. The sealer alone worked fine. Removing the exhaust bracket makes the removal and installation much easier. It took a long breaker bar and a 6 pt socket to loosen the exhaust bolts.
