  3. Hi not that I know alot, but what does a tc and valve body kit have to do with fast.

From what I know, a tc has to do with the amount of stall it will produce off the line the more stall the more it slips your converter has around 1600 stall the more stall the more it takes in terms of rpm to make it go from the line. race cars have about 3500 to 4800 stall, tach has to be at that number before it goes or it slips

As far as valve body that is the brain of the trans, a trans has no power just what the engine gives it. you can tighten up the shifts and make them firmer but as far as fast, work on your engine that is where your power is.

  4. Could I get some recommendations on some lowering springs for my '99 GS300? I want a 1.25" to 1.5" drop. I've got 17" wheels. I'm not really too concerned about performance, more about looks at the moment. However, I don't want a decrease in ride quality. I haven't been able to get a solid answer on the L-Tuned springs drop. One person says it's a 1.25" drop and others say an approx. 20mm drop which is less than an inch.

What would you guys recommend for a little over or less than $300? Does anyone have any idea about the typical labor costs?

    Thanks.

  6. I have a 99 G3 and I am curious to know if anyone has experienced the same sounds that I have.  I heard a clunk sound when i release the accelerator one morning just after getting on the highway.  I haven't had any major problem with my Lex, but I want to know if this may mean the start of a problem.  Also I was wonder if anyone had experienced a slight jerk when the transmission upshifts at very slow speed.  It seem to only occur when it is going from 1st to 2nd.  I am curious to nkow if this is normal or if i need to take immediate action.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Try this get up a few minutes early and start your car let warm up then try if no slip you might have hard rubber in trans and lip seals in trans may not be sealing right. let me know how you made out.
