I live in the UK and own a harrier.  It is so strange that I want to remove my harrier badges to get Lexus ones.  In the UK , Harrier is thought of a "cheaper" car.

Do you still have the RX300 emblems as I have been looking for these in the uk.

Also, your wheel caps, are they Toyota or lexus,as mine are Toyota and I want to change them to Lexus ones?.

It is a shame that I did not read your post earlier because I have the Eagle emblem on mine and I want to change it for a Lexus one.  I could of sent that to you.

hey, you replaced your factory blue screen! did you relocate it? if not how do you know what your climate settings are??

You control it with your OEM radio, that's why it is next to impossible replacing the factory radio.

You have to replace the OEM screen if you want to display videos or your dvds.  I asked the same question before I replaced it.

It may work(not really sure, didn't try it) but that black line towards the bottom of the screen will be visible.

I still have the factory screen.. just relocated it in the glove box. My original plan was to mount it flush on the center console, but it was more difficult than I thought.

so for now it's inside the glove box

Harrier has "3.0 Four" on the trunk: 3.0L and Four wheel drive.

Anyone has a DIY for changing emblems on the trunk door?

I was thinking adding those emblems but I think it will be too cluttered. Too much things on the back, just want to keep it minimal...I don't want it to look like a billboard :D (just my opinion) ;)

I wonder if they also sell the "AWD" emblem. You know, to distinguish the AWD from the FWD.

I've checked KBB, Edmunds, and other ads and this seems to be a very good price. But I am just a skeptic cuz it was a bit too easy to get the dealer to give it to me at this price. What do ya'll think?

Wow, $5400 to fix the heated seats problem, I would have just used the cabin heat.

I have an '85 corolla with no heated seats, but when I turn the heater on high, it sure gets hot!

As far as spending $3000-$5000 dollars is a bit steep, but you could tell the difference in the quality of the rim. Because it's shiny and big does not necessarily mean quality.

Sometimes bigger is better, but I like rims that are "flushed" with the fenders so all you see is the "lip" on the wheels.

I found several brands that make an exhaust system for the Rx300, will this cause damage to my engine. what kind of affect will it have on the engine performance in the immediate/long term future? ex. will it pass smog? :cries:

I found a place 30 mins away from my house that sells the silver/chrome harrier emblem. They also said that a Toyota emblem from a Landcruiser would fit on my Lexus emblem.(I have to double check on that one)

what's up guys...i'm also installing an amp and sub to my 99 rx...everything's wired pretty great...can't see anything...anyway...i'm stuck with one problem...where the hell do i ground this amp...none of the body parts by the trunk would work...hey ski...when you had yours installed...did they connect it straight to the battery?...i need help on this one cuz i don't wanna wire it all the way to the battery...lemme know asap...thanx...

I connected mine using the power antenna!

We all know that the headunit is difficult to replace because it powers all the ac, heat, and radio, but theOEM radio is fine, all you have to do is change the factory speakers, amp, and sub.

Just work with what the RX300 came with and you will be fine. Just need to replace all of the OEM audio parts. I was able to remove the OEM radio screen and replaced it with

a regular screen to watch dvds with no alterations on the dashboard. The price will vary depending on the brand of equipment you buy and where you buy it.

I would stick with the greddy exhaust. Greddy has a low but deep sound, borla seems to "crack" when you accelerate.

Greddy cost a little bit more than the borla exhaust.... I think, but im pretty sure you don't have a problem with price. ;)

filling the holes in sound like its going to be pricey!

How difficult is it to replace the factory steering wheel and removing the airbag sensor? do you have any tips?

Everytime I turn my radio on and turn the ignition off, I get this thumping noise from my sub and speakers. What did I do wrong when installing my speakers/wiring?

hello- I am considering taking off the " es300" and " lexus" emblems and simply leaving the lexus symbol on the back of the car. Does anyone know how to do this? Are the emblems glued on or bolted in? Does ayone have any experience removing these from an es300 ( mine is '95)

PM LOC/CL member lexusk8. He did this exact mod on his 01 ES last spring. He even created a thread that has pictures. (I can't remember if it is here or on CL).

There are not bolts or pins on the ES and LEXUS emblems, just adhesive.

you need a blow dryer/heat gun, monofilament, 3M adhesive remover, 3m ultra fine rubbing compound, a nice wax and of course some soft cloths.

my '98 lid only has the hole for the "L".

Im also trying to take off the lexus emblem on my truck, but there are three holes behind the "L" emblem.. the other emblems were just glued on. If you decide to take off the other emblems, you can use a blow dryer to remove the glue with ease! good luck
