  1. 93 LS400

I bought it a year ago and the seller told me the WS washers weren't working. I never really looked into it, thinking the pump was bad. Today I started trouble shooting it. I had the hood up and hit the washer button and it worked. I closed the hood tried it again and it didn't work.....

Some one had pulled some slack in the tube out of the fender well and when you shut the hood it pinches the line..... DUH!

Anyway, by by readjusting the line I was able to remedy the problem.

Just goes to show, sometimes it the the absolute simplest thing and nothing more. :-)

  2. You need to reply a faulty condenser C212 (16V/10uF) on the circuit board on the back of the instrument panel, This will cost 10 cents. The dry electrolytic condenser makes the power source of the instrument panel nonoperative. The symptom appears when the weather is cold.

I just repaired my 1994 LS400 with a new condenser instead of paying 1000 dollar for the original circuit boards.

Find how to dismantle the instrument panel by looking at http://www.lexls.com/tutorials/electrical/instrumentcluster.html.

Refer to http://apaqdigital.com/ls400/instrument_circuit.jpg to find the condenser which must be replaced.

It looks like the link at www.lexls.com is bad. Did you have another source for it?

    Thanks,

  3. Can someone tell me where the evaporator drain pipe is located on a LS 400 1993?

Everytime I turn left water sloshes out of the evaporator pan and soaks the passenger side carpet. I have checked and no water is dripping while the AC is running.

    Thanks for the help

    Thanks,

  4. The other day I switched the radio to the AM band only to discover its all static. The FM band works great and 99.9% of the time my radio never leaves this band. Any clue as to what would cause this issue? Almost like there is no antenna attached.

I'm far from expert, but check your antenna. It should go all the way up on AM and it self adjusts on FM. I wish I could get my antenna to fully extend on FM, I have poor reception. Maybe you need to look for another radio, I haven't found a site to repair them or the CD changer. Check dcfish.

The antenna does auto adjust on FM. Hate to remove the radio as it sounds excellent on FM.

I am having the exact same problem on my 93 LS400. Would be interested to hear what the cause it also.
