Jay Reaves Posted September 28, 2021 Posted September 28, 2021 Hello Everyone, I figured I'd ask the masses about my dilemma. Currently have a 2011 rx450h with 275K miles (has been very good to me). So now check engine light goes. Dealer says I need a new ecu and hybrid battery (over $8000 - crazy). So I've looked into a few places for the hybrid battery (since the ecu is pretty much the easiest fix out of the two, and less costly). By getting a new hybrid battery installed, is it safe to say I can get at least another 3-4 years burn out of the vehicle? Everything seems to be running fine now (minus the above issues). Just regular maintenance and all. Just torn between spending the money for the battery, verses trading in for a new vehicle. Has anyone had a hybrid battery replacement with high mileage and are still driving with no issues? Any help is appreciated.
