Turns over, won’t start, no codes

Recommended Posts

I have an 06 GS300 that on occasion, will not start. Battery is fine. I have figured out that if I remove the vacuum cap just after the throttle body and spray a shot of brake cleaner in the intake, it’ll fire right up. Checked the fuel pressure with it running thinking it may be the filter (not completely sure I can rule out the pump yet) and at idle it’s around 56 psi. There are no codes other than an ocassional evap code, and I’ve replaced the gas cap twice within a year with one from Lexus. But even that code and the failure to start don’t happen together. Anyone else heard of this issue?
