Ml-system: Color Of The Positive/negative Subwoofer Wire

Recommended Posts

Hey everybody. Urgent question since I don't seem to find anything anywhere on this topic. Car is a 2007 Euro-Spec GS 300 with the ML-"soundsystem".

I am trying to tap into my factory system with a hi-lo adapter that I want to connect to the factory subwoofer while disconnecting the subwoofer itself since it's blown.

There are NO positive/negative marks on the ML-subwoofer itself nor on the wires.

The wires going to the sub are green/brown and black/brown... which one is the positive and which one the negative.

From guessing I would say black/brown is ground and green/brown is positive, but how do I know for sure and is there any document to verify that?

I attached a picture for you guys to see. Any help/documents/wiring diagram would be highly appreciated.
