ucf20 Jason Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 Im in need of some serious help. I have an LS400 which just hit 167k and trans service was done at 157k. I start the car it runs fine all the gears shift smooth but about 5 minutes after or once the car is completely warm none of the gears work anymore. I gas it to move and my rpms just go up. I turn the car off let it sit for alittle and it repeats itself. What can it be? Thanks in advance.
Exhaustgases Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 It could be an actual transmission mechanical ie hydraulic problem, or it could be electrical. And it could be this. http://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls400/656360-all-my-crazy-lexus-issues-solved-ecu-leaking-capacitor.html
Exhaustgases Posted October 21, 2014 Posted October 21, 2014 Any news on this one? You can check the pressures, since I don't have a manual on the trans yet not sure about valving that can cause the problem. I have seen bad seal rings cause a heat related pressure loss.
brybo86 Posted October 21, 2014 Posted October 21, 2014 possible solenoids didn't i read that these go bad? they are change by removing the tranny pan not too bad
