Lock Actuator Or Something Else?

I recently purchased a 1999 Ls400. Lovely car, only 80K miles on it. However the driver side front door will not lock with the remote or the power button, only the key. Am I looking at replacing the actuator? I've read the many posts on DIY ebay motor replacement. Dont want to go through that unless I have to.

Not sure exactly what is wrong but in any case, you are going to have to remove the inner door panel for a look-see. It sure does appear to be the motor actuator but could also be a connector or wire that has fallen off(less likely). Congrats on your purchase.
