clspruiell Posted July 25, 2012 Posted July 25, 2012 I just noticed last night there is an intermittent squeal that sounds like its coming from up above the brake pedal. I opened the hood and heard something shutting on and off (every 10-15 seconds approx.). I think the two are related but not sure. When you're sitting in the driver's seat, it sound's like the sound is from within the cabin, but I could be wrong. Sounds like an actuator? Electrical. High pitched but not like a dog whistle. And it doesn't seem related to any driving actions! It happens randomly and consistently.
Mparent Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 I saw a tip on another lexus owners forum that said it might be the actuators (potentiometers) that control the flappers that regulate how much hot/cold air goes through the controllers. There three, I believe. Mike
