paulr Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 I have a 2003 GS430 that has a CEL and VSC light on. I'm assuming it's an O2 sensor and will verify it but I wanted to see if anyone has replaced their O2 sensors (4) and how easy is it. Looking forward to hearing about your experience. Are there any videos on changing the sensors? Any special tools involved or tricks to get access? Denso is the OEM brand but are Bosch better or Walker? Thanks Paul
ronalt67 Posted February 15, 2012 Posted February 15, 2012 It could be an 02 sensor. Ive had two GS300s, My first one had throttle body problems as a result of a gas station attendant putting regular gas in the car (NJ won't allow you to pump gas) The VSC lights came on with the other lights you mentioned. I would have that checked! My second GS, last Saturday I replaced the 02 with a Denso. Works perfectly!
baurkika Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 I have my check engine light on, retrieved codes from Autozone and found out that I need to change my O2 sensors too. I also looked for the tools and if you have autozone store in your area you can lease from there. I am planning to change them. The hardest one to change is the Bank2 Sensor 1 O2 sensor since it's hard to reach. I'll try my best, will try to make a video as well and let you know about it. I don't know if gs300 and gs400 O2 sensors' locations are the same.
