rgodwin Posted January 19, 2012 Posted January 19, 2012 I need to replace my battery terminal ends on my 94 LS400 and I was wondering if anyone knew the size of + & - cable that is used
SRK Posted January 19, 2012 Posted January 19, 2012 #4 gauge is usually the smallest found on cars. To my eye Lexus must use #2 or #1 gauge. #0 or #00 ( aught and double aught) are normally found on large diesels.
landar Posted January 19, 2012 Posted January 19, 2012 Take a look at this site -> http://custombattery...do_you_need.htm The nomenclature is #1/0 = single zero("aught" or "ought"), 2/0 = double zero, etc...the lower the number or more zeros, the bigger the diameter. There is also a link to wire gauge size at the bottom of the page. You can measure your existing cable and match it up if you want to buy exact sized clamps.
