Power Steering Fluid Low

Bought a 1994 LS400 with 99,000 miles 2 months ago. Perfect condition. The only possible problem I see is that the power steering pump was low on fluid. Below the dipstick. I know the car had the 90,000 mile dealer ransom work done. I filled the reservoir up, and took it to an Indie to see if there was any obvious leakage. He said no, but I don't think he looked too hard. No evidence of drips on the floor, however. So the question is-Is there anything I can do while waiting for the well known p/s problems to start? I.E.-Anything else to look for? Or just wait for the groaning and squeal to start?
