97 Es - Code P1300 - Igniter Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1 Or No. 1)

Recommended Posts

Car won't start. Changed knock sensors today in 100 degree heat (fun!). Looks like I screwed something up cuz now it won't start...turns over, sounds like it wants to start for a couple seconds, then just keeps cranking. Scan gives me P1300. I know I spilled some water/coolant when I refilled. The fill cap sits right on top of the igniter (coil?...i dunno) on bank 1, so maybe it got wet and is now malfunctioning??? Any ideas/suggestions? Thanks!

I have a es300 that has the same misfire error codes P0302, P0304, P0306, and P1354. I took it in and the mechanic said that the Variable Valve Timing Solenoid is stuck in the closes position and needs to be replaced.
