i know this is probably a stupid and repetitive question but i have an oil leak in the either the oil pump seal or the crankshaft seal and since i am going in that far should i just might as well throw a water pump in too? how long usually does a water pump last in these? thanks for the input.

You kind of answered your own question. Its $69.00 for a new water pump and you're going to invest 10 hours or more to replace the crankshaft seal. Might as well spend the additional 5 minutes to pop in a new water pump while you're in there. A new TB and TB idlers is a good idea as well ($99.00)....
