Removing Rear Console Box Lid

I have an 06 GX and I'm trying to remove the rear console box lid or even the rear console box, because my license fell into one of the two slots that houses the lid when the box is open when i put my license in there. Any suggestions on how I can get that out cause i want to save myself the time and money to get another one. Thanks.

On my 2003 the box would not open. I tried everything I could find. The only practical way is to remove the whole center assembly and turn it upside down and shake out what is inside the compartment. I finally let the dealer do. They charged me 2 hours labor and all the other crap. Unless you can find some endoscopic tool with a retrieving claw, you may have to go the same route as I did.
