Front End Clunk Noise...

Recommended Posts

I've got a 05' with 57K. Just recently it has started making a "clunk or a pop style" noise from the passenger front end area when I shift into Reverse or Drive every morning from a cold start. It does not do it after driving usually and I can not make the noise happen on the road. Sometimes when backing up in Reverse and turning wheel the clunk happens as well, but like I said I have not heard it on the road driving yet. I've had numerous issues repaired already from the dealer including a brand new steering rack, vane pump and upper pressure hose for a strange start up noise they still can't resolve. I've already had the intermediate shaft replaced and the steering and driving of the vehicle feel absolutely perfect. Also, just had the alignment checked. Still in spec since last alignment in Oct 2008.

Any thoughts??

Thanks!
