moskiter
So I have an engine hoist and an engine stand and removed already most things in the engine compartment, right now - according to the rapair manual - I need to have engine hangers screwed to both cyliner heads so that I could install chain on them. The NO. 2 engine hanger part number is 12282-20020 and bolts to it 91642-80825. This is the one mounted on the front cylinder head. The NO.1 engine hanger should already be on the RH cylinder head but I have troubles identifying it - there is something only similar to the one in the drawing... NO.1 ENGINE HANGER NO.2 ENGINE HANGER My question is if I could use any substitutes and avoid buying NO.2 engine hanger from the dealer because they won't be cheap I believe (if they are available at all). Or maybe there is some trick to hook a chain to an engine...?
stcist2
just use a longer bolt, remove one of the bolts shown and run the bolt through the chain then thread back in, common practice among mechanics
