Electrical? Failure Of The Navigation System

Hi all,

I have a 2002 automatic Lexus IS300 SC with Lexus Navigation System.

The other day when I was going to start my car everything just powered off instead of starting (the contact worked before). Not even the remote was working. In a minute it suddenly closed by itself, then I opened it regularly with the remote and it started as usual. The trip odometers, the clock and the radio were reseted but everything else was working as usual too. In the evening I just discovered the navigation system was not working. It opens and the screen works when I press the "INFO" button showinn the options, but nothing can be even selected. None of the rest of the buttons are working. Maybe it is something abut the fuses (I hope so!) or a wire connection stuff?

As I have read in some of your topics, I am afraid the dealer will ask for me thousands of dollars, what can I do or what can I check before taking my car to the dealership? I already checked the five fuses that are supposed to be for the Navigation system in any way.

Thanks in advance,

cuadrupeto
